Penguin Day
Penguin Day is Tuesday Jan 25. We will be discussing Antarctica, penguins, habitats, maps and so much more! It will be a fun day. We will even play some penguin games this week in PE.
If you would like to know how many Math Box slips your students have turned in, please email me (estephanie.maiava@canyonsdistrict.org). This Friday, May 6, our principal will come in and take a photo with those students who have received "metal de oro" certificate! This is the gold metal award. They will be rewarded with a photo, the certificate, and the gold coin chocolate. If they completed all Math box slips, they can get the last purple certificate called "the expert" certificate because they went far and beyond!
This is the new story we are reading this week. Rubí is a little duck.
STORY WORDS: Quinto (fifth), momento (moment), plumas (feathers), entero (whole), mayor (older/bigger), voló (flew), asomaron (to begin to appear)
Palabras de uso frecuente: Students should be able to read these words and know what they mean.
